A bend changes the direction of a drain and may limit how lining or inspection equipment can pass. Its position and angle matter when a repair is planned.
A branch brings another drain into the main run. Its position and geometry matter because any lining or local repair has to account for the connected pipework.
The connection where a drain enters a manhole or chamber may itself need repair. The transition and the chamber condition can affect the work required.
